The Kathakathan tradition of Kathak has its root in the Kushilava Parampara. Luv and Kush, the twin sons of Lord Rama sang and danced the Ramayana and since then travelling storytellers have become a part of the cultural fabric of India.Many Indians spent their childhoods glued to the television set come Sunday morning in order to watch the Ramayana.

For the first time in history, with the blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar, ALAP launches a 6 month online Kathak course on Kathakathan 'Sampoorna Ramayan' under shastracharya Dr Puru Dadheech and eminent danseuse Dr Vibha Dadheech.

Through more than 50 years of research, he has carefully reconstructed the dance of the Kushilava's within the Kathak format. Based on Sri Tulsidas's, Ramcharitramanas, in 6 months students will learn to presented the entire Ramayana in an abridged dance format.
